they came damn close to killing my husband a year ago, they oxygen starved him long enough that his memory is still affected. Fortunately the attending "dr" wanted the weekend off and a sub quickly found that he had pneumonia, not covid and changed his (non)treatment to something that got him back on the road to recovery.

I like the organic beet powder available thru Amazon. Start out with 1/2 teaspoon once a day, gradually increase to 1 teaspoon twice a day. It may cause him to, um, “emit more gas”, but the benefits are worth it.

If you find a better price than Amazon's, I'd be interested in knowing since I go through quite a bit. Start out with 400 mg once a day, increase gradually to 1600 mg twice a day. That should be enough, tho more isn't going to hurt. I had a 50-pound dog with AV Heart Block Stage 3 on 4800 mg of CoQ10 per day. CoQ10 was a major factor in keeping him going for over four years without a pacemaker (and at the end, his heart was still good, but his bladder nerves had declined to the point where he had no quality of life).

Hyperbaric Oxygen:

Consider purchasing a personal/portable Hyperbaric Oxygen unit if the above doesn't make a significant/ongoing improvement (albeit probably gradual). New ones aren't all that expensive, and you may be able to find a good used one. Or go in on one with someone that lives nearby. Do your homework first, especially on settings, time spent per day, and so on.

One thing I'll note here: Milk Thistle for the Liver, since the Liver is crucial for helping the body filter out toxins/detoxify. Start with 300 mg once a day, gradually increase to 600 mg twice a day. Especially with Milk Thistle, but also true of other detoxification measures, you don't want to do too much too fast, as the body can be stressed/harmed if too much bad stuff gets into the bloodstream too fast.
