How could we ever know that Geronimo's battle would, in decades reflect our own. We all want to retain our land and possessions which for some have been in the family for generations. History does repeat itself only this time the "white supremacists" are the modern natives of the free world. I thinl "Geronimo's Dream" applies to us all.

The Native Americans, and others, were just the "Trial Run". Chris Hedges and Joe Sacco connect the dots most effectively in their book, "Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt":

Some saw what was going on at the time, but it's like today, they were labeled crazy, paranoid, and the like. The boiling frog analogy works well.

What will we as a society do now that the flames are leaping over the top of the pot?

If we don't choose wisely (and I wish I had a magic answer, because there are many traps that lay ahead), then a phrase coined by E. Martin Schotz is apropos: "History Will Not Absolve Us".
