Unfortunately, the last gasp of the "Libertarian Party" was in 2008 when they picked Bob Barr as their nominee. The "Libertarian Party" had two last chances to resurrect itself from the dungheap of history: In 2016/2020 when they could have picked John McAfee as its Presidential Nominee; and in 2024 when they could have picked Michael Rectenwald as its nominee.
