That was intended as a satirical jab at the hospitals that were firing nurses who refused to take the Covid jabs (which have since proven to be very dangerous, even deadly). The hospitals claimed to be overwhelmed (few, if any, actually were), but they were firing staff for not subjecting themselves to medical experimentation. The hospitals rightly deserved derision for their actions.

It's extremely poor wording and judgment on his part if it were meant as satire. One of the big arguments during that time was that Nurses had to be "vaccinated", otherwise they would spread the "virus" never proven to exist to others, especially vulnerable patients. So Vance's admonishment reads to "vax" the Nurses or things will get worse.

I was a big fan of Mad Magazine back in the 60s and 70s when it was still funny, when it still did great satire. Perhaps Vance's intentions were good, but if that's the case, it goes back to my Post of a few days ago that Vance is not by a long shot who should be on the ticket.

BTW, I also enjoyed Cracked (do you remember that one?).

"Cracked" had its moments, but was tame compared to "Mad". There's a "Cracked" website, I get their newsletter, but they've never really figured out where they are going with it. https://www.cracked.com/about-us

Again, I haven't seen it since the '70s, so...

Yeah, MAD Magazine died after (or maybe during) the 70s.

I won't argue whether it was well-written or not; I was merely clarifying the intent (the need to do so making the argument it was, indeed, poorly written).

I don't think Trump should be on the ticket either, yet here we are. The GOP is no longer "conservative" (not that it has been for a really long time). But then, like the founding fathers, I don't like political parties at all.
