How about taking concrete action to reduce the future “need” for "Special Education Teachers" by 95% – 99%?
Ah, but talking about that here would "Violate Facebook Community Standards".
We have long known what is causing the skyrocketing "need". What we *need* to do is eliminate the underlying causes!
We also know how to significantly improve the lives of those already harmed, and that is *not* preparing them for “group homes” and “institutionalization” when their family can no longer care for them.

"More Teachers" is nothing more than aiding, abetting, and Enabling.

An area college is launching a new effort to deal with a shortage of special education teachers. Bethany College and the McPherson County Special Education Cooperative are partnering for the Pathway to SPED scholarship program. This initiative addresses the critical shortage of special education teachers in McPherson County by providing substantial support and guaranteed employment opportunities to local students pursuing careers in this field.
