It's not just taking care of ourselves, it's taking control. Important distinction.
We are all learning. I've been fortunate being in places and positions where I have learned from others without having to endure things firsthand. Sometimes helping them if they are ready, and in any event learning and helping others who are ready for options, for different perspectives.
Also important to healthy learning is finding the giants whose shoulders are worthy of standing on. Jon Rappoport, John Taylor Gatto, David Icke, for example.
I often point out that I have spent the latter 2/3rds of my life working to overcome the first third, i.e. government indoctrination camps. At the same time, I could list a good 20 teachers in those camps who were very important, in a positive sense, along the way.
We can help others and ourselves at the same time. One has to go on instinct, learning how to interpret that inner voice, to work out pacing, balance, not sacrificing ourselves or critically-needed progress.
