Accepted Version

Having not sent out a quote by Hermann Göring for awhile, this morning I did a DuckDuckGo search on Hermann goring, to see if there were two dots over the "o" in the spelling of his last name (there are). The following snippet came up in the results:

When I went to the Wikipedia entry to see what that was about, however, there was nothing about "an accepted version" or "latest accepted revision".

The only reference I could find on the Wikipedia Page to any editing was this, toward the bottom of the webpage: "This page was last edited on 1 February 2025, at 05:18 (UTC)."

Doing the same search on Google, there was no reference in the results snippet to "accepted":

I have long observed that Wikipedia is primarily useful for matters such as whether John Lennon or Paul McCartney primarily wrote a particular Beatles song.

Almost from its inception, there have been articles, some factual, others more speculative, about exactly who decides what does and doesn’t appear on Wikipedia. For now, I’ll not wade through those articles and attempt to find further clarification or glimmers of truth. Instead, I think it more useful to submit the above, and see what you might derive from the crack in the matrix.
